The beautiful Bougainvillea (below) has arrived in hot sizzling colors that tell us summer is on its way. Bougainvillea come in a variety of shapes to suit your needs and we have them!

Bougainvillea (below and above), the darling of summer, thrives in full sun and is drought tolerant once established, making it perfect for your waterwise garden.

Ask Darla, Steve, Roger or CJ for help. They can give you all the guidance needed to ensure that you plant properly and give your specimens the best start to a healthy life.

(Above) Our newly arrived shipment of Bougainvillea are surrounded by outdoor living furniture, perfect for creating that resting spot in the garden or for entertaining on your patio or deck. We have a nice selection of tables and chairs, bistro sets and garden benches.

Dahlias (above and below), some are large as dinner plates, are spectacular in size and color. These very showy plants will return again year after year and make a great addition to the garden.

Say goodbye to the 1970s houseplant terrariums! One of the latest additions to our garden center are creative succulent dish gardens (below). Enjoy them in your home or office–they need minimal care.

Succulent dish gardens make great conversation pieces and bring the intriguing look of succulents indoors in a fun way.

We also have a large selection of succulents, in a diverse range of shapes, sizes and colors in our outdoor area. We even have topiary shaped into cacti (below)!

East Coast transplants and those who love the inspiration that only a glorious plant can bring will want to hurry in to choose their Chinese Peony (below) from our first and only delivery this year. Yes, you can have Chinese Peonies in Southern California. Ours do well in our mild winter climate and warm weather.

The Chinese Peony compares with the Rose and Camellia flower in terms of intrigue, variety and uniqueness in every flower. Delicate and showy, available in different colors, the Chinese Peony arrives in limited supply at the Marina del Rey Garden Center once a year and warms the hearts of those who’ve been awaiting its arrival.

Another stunning showstopper this spring and summer is the Dahlia, and our first delivery of the year has arrived. The vibrant Dahlia (below) flower captivates most anyone who looks at it… it is that phenomenal. Ask Roger, Darla or Steve for help when selecting your plants.

Imagine sitting outside and enjoying your colorful garden this summer. Peonies and Dahlias, some as big as a saucer, meet your gaze as you and your family and friends find time to enjoy each other’s company and catch up.

Those good times can be created with the help of the Marina Garden Center. Our plant selection is amazing, and just in time for summer, we’ve received a selection of fine metal outdoor furniture.

Take a restful break in one of the new metal glider benches (below). Stroll the garden and return to your bar-height chair and table (above). Relax in a swing (above). Garden/patio furniture takes the beauty of our natural environment and turns into a place where we can hang out, have fun or simply rest and relax.

For those of you who’ve been wondering when more garden gazing balls will arrive, the good news is that they are here, in a multitude of colors to select from. The gazing ball below fits into this vegetable and herb garden area quite nicely. Why not find a place for one in your garden?

The green gazing globe above is framed by chives in front of it and an artichoke plant behind it, in addition to being surrounded by other herbs and vegetables found at the Marina Garden Center.

Because we know how much fun it is to eat the fruits and vegetables of your own labor, the Marina Garden Center stocks a complete selection of herbs, fruit and vegetables year-round. Stop in to give your produce garden the best start possible. Our gardening experts Steve, Darla and Roger will be happy to help you take a small step into growing your own food or can help you take a huge step into what is something everyone is talking about and doing!

I’m excited to introduce you to a new sustainable tote and garden bag (below) we’re now carrying. Hand-painted and made exclusively for us by an artist in New York, these beautiful bags make a fashion and environmental statement.

The lifelike detail of the art on these totes is quite amazing and better yet, you can use these bags for grocery shopping, a day at the beach, taking your lunch to work or as a gift.

Last not but not least, those topiaries (below) you’ve been waiting for have arrived, including some with unusual twists.
