Make Your Summer Garden Exquisite

Get acquainted with our Meditating Animals (below) collection. It’s been so popular that we’ve had to increase our inventory.

All Meditating Animals are created with Chinese characters etched into the back of their robe. The character is symbolic of the animals primary characteristic. The dog’s is Loyalty.

Each Meditating Animal comes with a tag that explains their character, such as this one for dogs: “Those who connect with this Zen Creation are Compassionate, Friendly and Protective in Spirit … or they just love dogs. Keep this sculpture near as a lasting reminder of all which is good in you.”

The Glory and Beauty of Waterwise Succulents

The Marina Garden Center’s succulent selection is expansive and you’re sure to find the plants you’re looking for and probably some you didn’t know you were looking for. That’s how captivating succulents are! It’s easy to be taken in by these unusual plants that have become quite popular in recent years thanks to their minimal water requirements.

Some succulents have large thick leaves (above) while others have variegated foliage (below), that adds to their appeal.

Certainly, nearly every public shopping or downtown area has a beautiful garden full of succulents and other waterwise plants. Homeowners, too, have planted some spectacular waterwise gardens using succulents for dynamic effect. The bottomline: succulents (above and below) create beauty and intrigue while requiring less water than other plants.

Succulents (above and below) come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, growth habits, textures. You can plant succulent landscapes that are beautiful to the eye and in harmony with nature due to their conservative water use.

You might not think that succulents flower (above), but some do produce gorgeous, striking or unusual looking flowers.

Get into the spirit of summer with the soothing sound of water. (Above and below) These fountains are self-contained, pump included, and can easily be moved from one place to another in your garden or on your patio.

Fountains can be used indoors and out to create just the mood and look you want to have.

Our most recent deliveries have brought to us new bird baths, fountains and lots of intriguing containers. We have a vessel that is perfect for planting succulents and pots that are contemporary, with an architectural feel, and those that are more classic and regal.

Gardening is an art, and a labor of love. Creating a beautiful vista in your yard is something that can be enjoyed year-round and for years to come.

Garden accents and the shape, size and color of containers, benches, pottery and fountains do much to add to its lasting appeal and value.

Succulents have become amazingly popular thanks to their drought-tolerant, waterwise nature. They come in unusual shapes and their foliage can be contrasted for even greater impact.
