Bouncer, Pumpkins and More at Fall Festival

By Cathy Hough, general manager and buyer

Have a family fun day at the Marina del Rey Garden Center during our Fall Festival. Our Bounce House is here Saturday and Sunday, October 27 and 28.

Remember to bring the camera to capture those precious memories as your kids have some fun gathering pumpkins in our Pumpkin Patch. In addition to traditional pumpkins, we have a great selection of Cinderella, Fairy Tale, white pumpkins and blue pumpkins. Get your decorating on, and while you’re at it, home bakers will love the Trickster pumpkin, which turns pumpkin pie into the best ever!

(Below) Hummingbirds love our Salvias at the garden center so much they live here! I saw this cute hummer and just had to snap a photo. Fortunately, I was able to capture him as he rested on a Salvia.

Invite hummingbirds to your garden with Salvias and other hummingbird-friendly plants (below). Ask Steve, CJ or Roger for assistance. They can walk you through planting a garden hummingbirds will love from start to finish!

Grasses can bring vivid colors and hues to your garden. Look at the textures and feel you get from the grasses below, then stop in to consult one of our nursery experts so that the grasses you plant thrive.

(Below) We have fall, Halloween and Day of the Dead decorations for inside and outside your home.

(Below) Harvest time brings out a full moon. Did you see the Harvest Moon on Saturday, Sept. 29?

Do step inside our store to see what lurks within. Ghosts, goblins, scarecrows, skulls and fall decorations all await you. We also have battery-operated candles (below) and a dancing ghost.

Just In!

(Above) The kids are loving our new collection of Floaters! You heard about our floating, lifelike turtles that are in such demand, well now we have lifelike crocodiles, frogs, mama ducks and babies. And it’s not just the kids who love them!

(Below) Not to be outdone by the ghosts and goblins, our gnomes have decided to pay us a visit. These lively little fellows would like to join your household or garden any time of year.
