Customer Appreciation Day is Labor Day, Monday, September 1. We’ll have free hot dogs and beverages from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and will be open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Apples for the fall, limes and lemons for cooking, grapefruit, figs and persimmons for eating… Those are just a few of the many fruit trees we have at the Marina del Rey Garden Center. (Below) How about a lime tree? There’s nothing quite like having your own supply of limes for cooking, squeezing over seafood, making juice, or margaritas!
(Below) Enjoy the taste of homegrown persimmons.
A fig ripens, below.
(Below) Homegrown grapefruit is a great way to start your day!
(Below) How about an apple a day this fall? Stop in and ask one of our design experts, CJ or Steve, for assistance. They can help you decide whether to buy “standard” or “semi-dwarf” and to plant in ground or in a container. Oh, yeah, they’ll also tell you the best soils to plant with to get your fruit trees off to the most healthy start possible.
(Above and below) We indeed have the broadest, most in-depth selection of containers around, with everything from TerraCotta to architectural designs to colorful containers to durable, lightweight, highly portable containers to Asian ceramics to Talavera.
Containers for Herbs and Vegetables
Herbs and vegetables can be grown in small spaces, too. We have lots of fun small containers, wine barrels and raised beds to choose from (above and below).
(Below) Our selection of herbs and vegetables changes daily as new shipments arrive. Sweet Basil, Cilantro, Cucumbers, Eggplant, and Winter Stupice Tomato are just some of the plants we carry.
Stop in today to stroll our 2+ acres. You’re sure to be inspired and find unusual and hard-to-find plants.
