Pumpkins, Halloween Goodies, Photo Opps, Jump House Bouncer for Kids: It’s All Here for Our Fall Festival

Bring the kids, including wee ones, for some fun in our Pumpkin Patch, open everyday during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pose for cute photos you can share with family and friends AND have a great time picking out pumpkins from our vast selection.

Unlike other Pumpkin Patches, we stock a variety of pumpkins, each one different and some small enough for tiny hands. Mini Pumpkins, Wee Bee Little Pumpkins, Tiger Baby Pumpkins, Pumpkin Pie Pumpkins, White Casper Pumpkins, Orange Sparkler Pumpkins, Jackpot Pumpkins, White Pumpkins, Cinderella Pumpkins, Jarrahdale Pumpkins, Knucklehead Pumpkins, Fairy Tale Pumpkins, and Big Mac Pumpkins are all here for you to check out.


Of course, we have the traditional carving pumpkin so stop in so you can get your carving fun started!

During the weekends of October 21 and 22 and 28 and 29, we will have a bounce house jumper here for the kids at no charge! Just c’mon on down and bounce around!


You’re sure to have a fun-filled family experience when you visit our Pumpkin Patch. With straw underfoot and straw bales to sit on, youngsters get a first-hand taste of country life.

With September here and fall approaching, it’s time to make the most of what summer has brought — long, warm days that will leave the ground heated for months, giving roots the best environment for health and growth.

We specialize in searching out and stocking unusual and hard-to-find plants. (Below) Meerlo is an exclusive, new Lavender from the Sunset (think Sunset Magazine) Western Garden Collection. This Lavender is known as being one of the most heat, humidity, and water-wise Lavenders. It is a vigorous plant that features a beautifully variegated and highly fragrant foliage, with pale blue flowers in summer. Dry the leaves for use as sachets and moth repellent.

Throw Down a Top Dressing to Save Water and Keep Weeds Out

With August pretty much here and summer in full swing, help your plants get through our hot days with a top dressing of Bumper Crop or Black Forest on lawns and garden beds. These top-quality soil amendments reduce watering and keep weeds out of the garden.

A Gorgeous Summer Garden, Fountains, Bird Baths, Pagodas, Raised Vegetable Beds and More for Your Summer Enjoyment

Summer in Southern California means lots of time spent outdoors in the sunshine, watching sunsets and enjoying nighttime under the moon and stars. The Garden Center is the place to find lots of ways to spruce up your home and garden for you, your family, your friends and neighbors.

(Above) The Fortnight Lily, so named because its flower lasts for one day, blooms from spring through fall and while it can handle partial shade, it will bloom more profusely in full sun. It is a drought-tolerant, low-maintenance perennial that grows well outdoors in large patio planters and containers. The plant is also called African Iris.


(Above) Monarch butterflies are hatching out all over the Garden Center thanks to our stable of in-stock Milkweed.  It really is amazing to watch butterflies and to see them up close. Ask one of our Garden Design Experts Miguel or Steve for help selecting butterfly-friendly plants so you can bring these precious creatures to your home and garden.

(Below) Summer brings out so many wonderful blooming plants. Clematis, a showy vine beloved on the back East and in the British Isles, grows to six feet high, in most instances, and is a well-mannered vine that grows particularly well with roses.

(Below) A summer stunner is the Rose of Sharon. This plant, a member of the Mallow family, can grow 4-6 feet wide and about 8-10 feet tall. They need full sun. It’s botanical name is Hibiscus syriacus and as with other Hibiscus, its flowers bear a striking stamen.

Summer Color in the Garden, Even in Shade, and Edibles: Lily of the Nile, Daylily, Canna Lily, Hydrangeas, Plumeria, Dahlias, and More Flowering Inspiration Now In

Many are the ways to add color to the garden for summer, even if you have shade. Hydrangeas, Daylilies, and Canna Lilies feature exquisite colors and will bloom in shade. Even the stunning Lily of the Nile will bloom with about four hours of sun.

(Below) Plumeria is a tropical plant that needs full sun and is a winner you’ll want to have in your garden. Also known as Frangipani, Plumeria is the flower used in Hawaiian leis. And Plumeria has a wonderful fragrance!


Our Plumeria are budding up and bursting into bloom.


(Above and below) Plumeria can be grown in the ground and in containers, making them versatile and great for patios and poolside. We have this tree in a variety of sizes from one gallon on up to a boxed specimen. Their leaves definitely look lush, and contrast nicely with the teal Asian ceramic pots they are shown with.


(Below) Dahlias are in and ours are budded up and blooming! This gorgeous plant needs full sun. Limited supply. Dahlias grow from a bulb and will come back every year.



(Below) Canna Lilies are in bloom and ready for your shady areas. Here, they are shown next to Papyrus and Hydrangea, both shade-loving plants.
