Cathy Hough – General Manager. Cathy, a California Certified Nursery Professional, is a graduate of Cal Poly State University, Pomona. She began her career in the industry in 1980 at the Palos Verdes Begonia Farm, moved to Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach and joined MDRGC in 1993.
The Marina Garden Center sales staff has more than 135 years of combined experience in the nursery industry. Come in today and experience the difference.
Sales Team
Katerina – Sales Manager. Katerina, a California Certified Nursery Professional, has been in the industry for nine years. She is from the Czech Republic.
Steve – A certified Master Nursery Professional, is a familiar sight to longtime customers. He has been an integral part of the garden center since 1984.
Darla is our newest team member and previously worked for a landscaping company.
Office Manager
Jonathan Keisner is a graduate of Arizona State University and an avid golfer.
Operations Staff
The operations staff works hard everyday to provide great service and keep our nursery looking great!
Bedding Plant Buyer
Patricia has been with us for about three years.
Indoor Operations Team
Barbara is a native Southern Californian and our newest cashier. Her particular area of interest is cactus and succulents. On her days off, she likes to visit public gardens, especially The Huntington Library’s Botanical Gardens.
Outdoor Operations Team
Al – If it needs fixing, Al is our “go to” guy. With MDRGC for many years, he also helps keep our plants looking their best.
Dario – Continuing a family tradition, Juvenal’s son, Dario has worked at MDRGC since 2001.
John has been in the industry for two years and joined us last summer. His particular interest is Bonsai.
Adrian has been with MDRGC for four years.
Juvenal has been with us since 1986, for 22 years of service.
George joined MDRGC a year and a half ago after many years with an area lumber yard. He also worked at the Air Force base in San Pedro as a groundskeeper.
Rick is the one of the newest additions to the Marina del Rey Garden Center team. He has more than 30 years of experience in the nursery industry, with an interest in interior plantscape and design. Rick is a Southern California native.
Delivery Specialist
Known for his smile, Victor has been driving for us since 2000.
